The Blue Hill Fair is the fair of Charlotte and Wilbur under the guidance of EB White and has not changed much since he wrote about it in Charlotte’s Web. (As a matter of fact, EB White lived four miles down the road from the 317 Falls Bridge house.) The fair is full of late summer vegetable displays, quilts, horse pulls, cows and goats, smells of food booths, and sounds of carnival rides. All this with Blue Hill Mountain just over your shoulder and out of the corner of your eye. A dramatic celebration of summer.

But the fair is not just exactly the same as when EB White walked the fairgrounds, because in 2005 a new event was added occurring in front of the main grandstand - The Women’s Skillet Toss!!!! Blue Hill Fair - Under the Milky Way
